“It’s not something I can plan; it’s not something I can strategize. I’m simply living each day as it comes and doing my absolute best with whatever opportunity I’m given, hoping that it translates into more work and more opportunities. It’s just a matter of time; that’s simply how things have been unfolding. I’m approaching it with my whole heart and passion, but there is no specific way I envision this journey playing out. I mean, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities, of course. I know where I want to reach, but I cannot plan the path to get there; it is very destiny-oriented. Getting the specific projects you truly desire isn't entirely in your hands.”
The actress also reflected on her decision to take up Daadi Ki Shaadi after working on the intense political drama The Diplomat alongside John Abraham. According to Sadia, the timing of the project could not have been more perfect, as she was looking for something emotionally lighter and creatively refreshing after immersing herself in a demanding role.
“I mean, I still remember very well that I signed this film before the release of my last film, Diplomate. And at the time this film came to me, I think I was very much in need of a film like this—one that was as lighthearted and gentle. After playing such an intense role, I really needed to escape from that zone and do something that would remind me why I fell in love with this job in the first place. So, yeah—when the offer came my way, I didn't give it a second thought before saying yes. I was like, "Whatever the role is, I don't care; I just know that I have to tell this story. I simply have to be a part of this story."
